Nitrous Oxide ( “Laughing Gas”)
Nitrous oxide, commonly called “laughing gas,” is a safe and gentle way to help children relax during dental treatment. It’s especially helpful for young patients who may feel nervous or anxious.
Your child will breathe nitrous oxide through a small mask placed over the nose. they remain awake and responsive the entire time, simply feeling calm and at ease.
Hospital/ IV sedation
In certain cases–such as severe dental anxiety, extensive treatment needs, or children with special healthcare needs–hospital or IV sedation may be the safest and most comfortable option.
